SUMMER OF THE TURTLE
So, school is out! All of the teachers and students have finished all their morning work, afternoon work, dramatic play, recess, lunch and parties for the 2012-2013 school year. This is a time of rest, relaxation and fun for all.... well, except for parents! Just kidding, I love my children and I love having them home for the summertime, but the stress of having to find something to entertain them for the entire day is a challenge for several reasons:
They don't always agree of what they want to do the day in question.
They usually get tired in the middle of it and start to fuss uncontrollably.
Sometimes you have exhausted all of the activities for the week earlier than you thought you would.
You are tired ( this seems to be the case for me by Thursday!)
The weather is a factor.
This summer our family has decided to create a blog to document all of our summer fun, while some days will be more adventurous than others, we have created a way to make everyday fun and enjoyable, even if all we have planned is work with momma and errands.
We call it the "Summer of the Turtle"
Baylee came home with her little turtle from her behavior chart at school, he is so cute... little and green and glued to a clothespin. This summer we plan on taking the turtle everywhere we go and documenting all the important trips that he has made with us, whether it be gymnastics, the grocery store or some other interesting destination!
